Dream Garage: Base $50k Edition

This isnt the 2018 Touareg, this is just a concept.

I’m going to give you a very slight challenge tonight. You need to make a two vehicle garage. All models must be model year 2016 or newer and have a model/nameplate range that starts between $50,000 and $70,000 and not a penny less or more than that range. Cars must have a different number of doors on the side of the vehicle (so hatches do not count as doors).

This mesns a Touareg wouldn’t count since it starts at $49,495. No variant of Porsche Macan (for US Opponauts) can be used because there is a $47,500 base model. But as long as the cheapest possible spec of a model range falls within that $50k to $70k range then you can have any spec of that vehicle you want!

You can actually go as big as you want on those. As long as the lowest spec version is in that range then you can have anything out of the lineup. So RS7 and E63 S Wagon are all fine since the lowest versions of the lineup are in range.

Lexus GS 450h for a DD and it has more luxury stuff than I car to read about

Ford Shelby GT350 for a weekend car. It counts because I don’t consider it to be a “spec’d up” version of the base model ‘stang :p

Since the Ford F-650 starts at $55,955, I’ll have one of these conversions which will set me back around $220k or so.

I can then pick up a brand new Corvette Z06 with pretty much every go-fast and luxury option. Since a C7 Stingray starts $55,450 I’m in the clear even if the one I want costs $118,830.

Combined prices for my dream versions: Around $338,830

Estimated cost of trim level upgrades and options: $227,425 .

I had to get a truck and the 450 is the only one with a base over 50k. Not that I need that much truck, but I wouldn’t kick it out of bed for eating crackers either.
